Academy Award winning costume and production designer of ‘’The Great Gatsby’’ Catherine Martin, and the film director, producer and co-writer, Baz Luhrmann, has joined Tiffany & Co. to celebrate the debut of the world of Gatsby at our Fifth Avenue flagship store. Sparkling with jewels from The Great Gatsby Collection, this luxurious Jazz Age salon is currently on display on the fourth floor.
One of Tiffany’s greatest traditions is the presentation of its annual Blue Book, a coup of design and artistry that features the most spectacular jewels in the world. To celebrate Tiffany’s edition 2013, Tiffany put up a magnificent Blue Box topped with a white bow in Rockefeller Center, one of New York’s most famous Art Deco gems. As lights bathed the heart of Manhattan in Tiffany Blue, more than 350 guests from around the world gathered inside the box for an exclusive glimpse of breathtaking new collection.
The evening’s supper club-style and glamorous festivities brought to life the Roaring Twenties, an era of grand parties and sleek jewels that inspired many of the exquisite new designs. With the famous gilded statue of Prometheus presiding over the stage, the Jazz Age-inspired celebration included performances by aerialists, orchestras, dancers and Megan Hilty. Displaying the one-of-a-kind creations from the 2013 Blue book while models dressed in 1920s-style outfits provided them with tables to share their photos from the event on social media.
Celebrities coming from other countries just to attend this lovely event, take a look at Jessica Biel’s flawless makeup at Tiffany’s Blue Book Ball. The playing for keeps actress joined other A-listers Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson Michelle Williams, Sarah Jessica Parker and Alice Eve at the glittering event, but even in such a star-studded field, Biel stood out with her elegant Old Hollywood hair and perfectly applied natural looking makeup.
What a great look for such an event. Take a look at some of the selected photos.
